This is not directly related to my work, but it is interesting to anyone who has tried to take super close-up photos of tiny details. A Russian photographer has figured out how to get the most incredible photos of snow crystals using an old camera lens turned backwards and taped onto the front of his camera’s built-in lens. He just uses optical zooming and gets nice, clear images of every tiny detail. Read about it on his blog. (He has a lot of amazing photos of snowflakes there too!)
